Due to all the recents problems that Yotube has been throwing up I have decided to also start uploading stuff to Vid.me. I feel that Youtube has become highly saturated and that small Youtubers like me dont stand a chance and the awfull new youtube algorithm has made it next to impossible.
There is no way a single person is going to be able to produce good and decent content every day. It is simply impossible unless you are a big huge production company or somone who will just upload any old crap. Unfortunatly this is what Youtube has become and thanks to content makers such as Leafyishere, Keemstar and a few others the whole site has taken an absolute dive on just about every level. The behaviour of people on youtube now just discusts me immensly and the trolls are worse then any other time I can remember. They are going after everyone including people with disabillities and mental illnesses. No one is safe and nothing is considered too far. I find myself wondering if these people are actully totaly souless without any moral compass. Many of these people then attack you calling you a social justice worrior (SJW) should you dare question thier damn right nasty vemonus comment.
This is called Trolling and it has been said in places that you are just supposed "to put up with it" and that it is showing "weakness" to get "mad" and that "if you dont like it dont be online". The problem is why should anyone just "put up with it" when you have just as much to be there as anyone else? This is just blanant bullying and if the behavoiur is not adressed it just gets out of hand as no one is confronting them for their views- it can and has resulted in hate channels popping up such as Evalion who has since been taken down for hate speech on the Jews. Pewdiepie was made fun of when he decided to actully disable the comments section for some of his videos after calling the community crap.
“It’s been bothering me for so long now, I’ve been trying to find solutions to it. I was hoping that it would get better, I was hoping YouTube would try and figure a way out, but it doesn’t seem like it. I’m just sick of it, so I’m going to turn off the comments forever, they’re not coming back. I wouldn’t say that we lose something, I would say we’re taking the next step in the right direction, because it’s been going on for too long, these comments being shit." - Pewdiepie on ReadWrite”
In the meantime what is youtube But when the community reacts like this and still dosnt get the message then Pewdiepie has just proved a point.
It has become apparent that the vast majority of people in Youtube comments sections do not know how to behave online either and they they use it as an excuse to behave like overgrown babies (if you are a child under 13 you should not be on youtube anyway) however alot of them are also adults and are no better. When you pull them up for being rude they then cry and winge about it hurling a string of abuse at you calling you the SJW as an excuse to defend their pathetic behaviour. The way some of these people behave suggests they are actully imbalanced in real life, have a serious psyciatric complaint or be a sociopath (and the same gose for many content creators).
If you really think and behave like this online then what does it really say about you as a person? What would your family, friends and co-works think of you if they could see your online attitude towards others spouting off racism, sexism and other things which are just really just not very nice to have to see. Its terrifying if you are at the reciving end of it. There is a differnce between free speech and hate speech. To me it realy just looks like people do not know how to use thier free speech and they are just wrecking it for eveyone else.
Everyone cried about YT heros
But.....Behave like children and you will be treated like children.
If you do not moderate your own behavior then somebody else will do it for you. You might not like it and that is just tough.
The problem is youtube people wants unpaid volunteers to do this. Lets see how well that works.
But in the meantime what is youtube really doing about it? Not alot. With the likes of Leafishere, Keemstar and multiple channels being spawnd by those lone subjects and this new so called "satire" (which isnt satire its just cyberbulling) genre there dosnt seem to be an end of it. Youtube has made further changes to the algorithm to shake things up and I think it is something to do with how big some of these nasty channesl are getting. But I think its too little to late and wounds have been left festering for too long.
I dont really want to be apart of a system that blatantly does not seem to care about its users and the biggest problem with this one size fits all mentallity towards its creators in recent years and the plague of exessive trend following whic you have to engage with to get anywhere on youtube.
"One size fits all" is the biggest middel finger to you show to creative people and so we are seeing less of them and hardly any animators what so ever.
I did not join youtube so that I could follow trends unless I genuinly care for it. I do not want to be a sheep and no one else should have to be to get anywhere. I dont give a toss about the latest trends and I dont give a toss about this mannequin challenge it does nothing for me.
